The Opioid Taskforce (a project of the Spokane Regional Health District) is running a study in utilizing complementary therapies to manage pain. The goal is to give prescribing physicians the opportunity to de-prescribe opioids or lessen the dose for health clients participating in the study.
The study by the Opioid Taskforce is part of a broader push to encourage prescribing physicians to educate themselves on complementary therapies. From there, they can to reach out to health practitioners who could help their clients stay off opioids.
